I just bought this skirt at a boutique near me and want to wear it on Saturday. It's a gold satin with a blakc lace overlay.

Can anyone come up with some outfit ideas please!

I also bought this Nanette Lepore top, maybe they can go together? I'm not sure honestly I would love more ideas though! TIA!

that skirt is hot! where are you planning on wearing it to? a party or a club/bar?

i don't know if the shirt would work. since the skirt is so embellished, the shirt needs to be super plain, imo, so as not to confuse the eye. but black would work with the skirt, plain plain black.

I love the skirt!! And I have to agree with relrel, I think a plain, slim-fitting black top would look great with it. I think it would be really elegant and classic in a way. I also really like the dark red color it's paired with in that picture. I think that combo pops very nicely. But definitely let the skirt be the centerpiece of the outfit because it's beautiful.

it's hard to tell without actually seeing the two together, but i think that they would work together.  i agree that that skirt needs a pretty plain top, but the top you posted is basic enough to work.

i think it would work with the nanette top you have. i really love it with the red that they have it shown with. i think the skirt would look fantastic with other deep jewel tones like teal and deep purple as well. here are a few tops that i think would work -

if you want to tone it down a bit and balance out the sexiness of the skirt, i think a simple black top like this would do that -

I think it would look great with the top you posted. What a lovely skirt! But what is going on with the model's hands in that picture? Is she wearing...nylon gloves??? Weird.

I prefer the Nanette Lepore blouse. This one just does nothing for me.
