non low rise jeans??
Permalink Closed

Do these exist?  I don't want 80's acid jeans- i want the nice washes and cuts of today in a nice brand of jeans- seven, joe's, whatever, but with a mid rise, and even maybe a rise to my waist.  I've seen expensive jeans do this (imitation of christ, fugged considerably) but i'm wondering if there is a somewhat more mass-market version of this.  i think its cute in a 70's sort of way and i'm getting really sick of lowrise, which is all i own and all i can find.

Seven's boycut jeans are cut higher than their other styles.

Grey Ant made some last fall...did you try looking in the sale racks at a bunch of websites? I think they were actually called the 70s style jeans.

PS: I'll keep my eye for you out in LA.

ETA: I found them at le train bleu! $209. They actually do look awfully 70s vintage...my mom had a pair of cords with very similar weaving through the pockets and if I was a size 0, I'd probably still have them and be wearing them now.
