If you wear them with pants I think they would be okay, but they would look weird with skirts. IMO, when a shoe has ankle straps like those I think the heel should be higher. Maybe because the strap will make your legs look shorter, but if the heel were high it wouldn't be as much of a problem?
Personally though I wouldn't pay $56 for something that can't be worn with both pants and skirts.

I have to say I don't like them all that much. I think maybe it's the combination of the color, the thick ankle strap, and the big buckle... it's just a lot I guess. However, they might look different on too, right?

even besides the questionable style of the shoe...they fit funny. ive tried this style on at repeated places because i also question the style of it, and they never fit right for some reason. there is something about the flat/baby heel with the pointy toe and the strap around the ankle which makes it flop around on the foot. i have seen these on people, and they can look cute with pants, or even cropped midcalf length fitted pants, but they just fit funny. that could possibly just be my feet, but fair warning nonetheless.

I bought these same shoes last year in a more muted color. I will post a picture tomorrow of how i wear them with a skirt. They can be difficult to wear with skirts but it can be done.
I would not say they are trashy but edgy in a street chic european kind of way.
