Thick or skinny belts?
Permalink Closed

Just curious what you girls like better.... The thick belts or the double skinny belt?  Would it depend on your body type?  And if so what type looks better in which one? Or does it depend what type of top your wearing?  I need to get myself a cool belt but dont know what to opt for. And how to wear it?

Well I'm hippy and I prefer wider belts with tunics and thinner belts with jeans and a regular length top. So I guess for me it depends on what I'm wearing.

For me, I like skinny belts with more polished or delicate outfits, but really it can really depend.

Honestly.. I think you need one of each.. Some outfits call for skinny and others call for wide.. They are so different, I dont think you can choose just one.

I second this.  One of each...at least.

I cannot bring myself to sling a belt over a top, it doesn't feel right on me.  I wear medium size belts through my belt loops, or the scarf types with a bow.

For a slim fit sweater I like a skinny belt, and for a thicker sweater I like a wide belt.

On long tees, I like the look of a couple skinny belts worn layered at the hip, for slim fit tees that aren't long I like a wide belt at the hip.

I say get a skinny belt or two and a nice wide belt.  Try some mall stores if you want to get both looks so you don't spend a lot of money.
