Meh. This is our 10th V-day together, so it almost feels silly to worry about getting each other stuff. We're going to go out for dessert either today or Wednesday to avoid the V-day crowds since something like 70% of people in Colorado go out to dinner on Valentines . I don't want to have to fight all of them for a table!

butthead got me a pink RAZR phone and he's making me dinner tomorrow night. since we just bought our house and are saving out $$ for the wedding, we are doing v-day on the cheap. the phone was a combo gift for v-day and my b-day (the 22nd) i love that phone.
eeeee!!! tara t - I got the pink razr yesterday - it's so adorable!!
You RAZR girls are so lucky!! My friend exchanged gifts with her man on Saturday, and she got the pink one too! This is their first day together, so they went all-out.
My hubby and I got our valentine Vosges chocolates on Friday, and we have been having one each night after dinner. Our anniversary is next week, so we are celebrating over the weekend with a couple's massage at the Ritz Carlton spa and dinner at Cafe Milano (so I can get dressed up )
we already celebrated V-day this past weekend. we had massages on friday and then on saturday we went out to a super swanky place for dinner... soooooooo good.
for those of you who were wondering- no ring but he knew i was thinking about it and told me "you know i am not cheesing out and giving you a ring on a holiday!" at least my honey is trying to be creative for when he gives it! right?
as for tomorrow- i'll get flowers and i bought him some chocolates (which are really for me )
We're going to dinner and hopefully I'm getting flowers. This is our 4th V-day together and last year was the first time my BF actually "got" me anything. I love Valentine's Day but the BF pulls the "I hate Valentine's Day" routine every year which I think is just a bad excuse for him not getting it together to actually put a little time into getting a card and a little gift. I think he's finally caught on that it's not an acceptable excuse (probably after two years of me hysterically crying on Valentine's Day when he didn't do anything). I know he's planned dinner and if I get a card, a big deal for him, I'll be happy but flowers would be really nice since I usually have to buy them for myself.
I just re-read this and it sound so awful. Truly, my BF is so great in so many ways but surprise gift-giving just isn't his strong suit. Oh well, I'm still with poptart, "Yay for Valentine's Day and pink stuff."

Ugh my dad didn't even send me anything, my mom did. Is that even more pathetic? Also, oddly she sent me semi scandalous underwear. Thanks for rubbing it in, Mom.

My mom just sent me something too - probably candy .

My mom did this two years ago...sent a cute if skimpy boxer shorts and tank set from VS, but I guess she thought it would be cute to put a motherload of grannyish string bikinis as well. I had to exchange them all.
Weird thing was that I was dating my BF for so long already. Ehhh...whatever.
I have no idea. He says I am gonna like it, but he didn't ask me for any ideas, which makes me pretty nervous. I actually hope it's not anything really good, because I got him practical stuff (a new pillow and measuring cups -- he's such a housewife!).

I'm single too, but I asked my parents if they were going to send me cards this week and they said yes, and I think my dad may have gotten me something else, I hope
I never get mail so that excites me.
A friend and I went out for coffee this afternoon and stopped at Wal-Mart. Bad idea. It was so crazy in there. When we got back to school, there were several cars decorated with balloons which I thought was nice.

I wish my Dad were like this. He didn't even contact me for my birthday on Friday - no phone call, no e-card or e-mail. He's such a dip.
Maddie, if it makes you feel any better when I was in h.s. and college my mom regularly bought me Wonder/Miracle bras for Valentine's Day and other special events. If that's not rubbing it in, I don't know what is!
