so i saw this this sweater/dress on shopbop, but it doesn't look like they're selling it, justthe belt worn over it.  so where can i find the actual dress?  or something similar? 



also, for the nyc girls at the gathering a couple of weeks ago (cc, dot, honey, jlear, mckenke, scarlett), what do you think of a dress like this to go w/ the shoes i showed y'all? maybe if the dress were ivory/cream?  any opinions welcome!  tia!

Hi Esquiress,


I think you have the legs to pull off the sweater dress with those shoes, but I would be careful that the dress isn't too short.  Otherwise I like the mix of textures with the heavier feel of the sweater and the shoes.  Personally, I would try to mix it up with those shoes.  I would wear them with the sweater dress over skinny jeans.  Or with some dresses that have a different sort of feel to them like these...

Or wear them with a funky skirt and a beater.  I have sort of a quirky style, but that is how I would wear those shoes.

duh, i just realized i should post the shoes again and tell you all i got them!  the traffic ticket didn't turn out to be that much so i let myself have them

Oh no you didn't!! Those are gorgeous!  You need to wear them with something simple--let those shoes be the focal point.  Yay, I'm so excited for you and your new shoes .

i tried doing a google search for it, but it didn't turn up. :( your original idea is cute, and i also  like mckenke's suggestions, especially the asymetrical denim dress. i think it's a nice contrast to the prettiness of the shoes.  i'll keep looking though.
