i was going to post this very same question. i went away on a mini-vacation and i came back to all these confusing name changes. i'm feeling a little disconnected. i've figured out Aurora and Metric already PM'ed me.

can someone fill me in on the rest of 'em? thanks!

i am also super confused.  i thought maat was new too.  i don't know who anyone is, i feel like i haven't been around long enough to figure it out, but just long enough to be confused. *sigh*  if anyone wants to enlighten me, that would be super.  i can think of a few people that have disappeared that the new names could be, but i don't know who's who....

I guess I might as well just admit to it.  I'm an old poster.  I changed my name because my privacy had been violated.  I found out some acquaintences were reading it, my work blocked it, and I was totally worried because I was posting all this personal stuff about work, boys, and friends.  I started shying away from posting here and really missed it so I figured the only solution was to start a completely new name.  I PM'd the posters I talked to the most and tried to get most of the other regular posters.  I figured when people started asking where <insert old name> was, I would just PM them if they were someone I knew and trusted.  I didn't ever announce that I was an old poster with a new name on the board because my privacy was really the most important thing to me.  I figured once people knew I was an older poster w/new name they would quickly figure out who I was.  I even sacrificed my poster status to start a completely new name so I couldn't be traced back to my old posts.  I didn't take into account that a post like this would start.  I hope I haven't offended anyone, but I truly wanted to start over.  With so many people that are signed up here and don't post, there are so many unknown people on here that could be my boss, co-workers I don't like, my mom, my ex-boyfriend, etc. and that makes me uncomfortable because I have posted a lot of things that I wouldn't want any of those people to see.  So, the secrets out.  I can't try to hide it anymore.

I hope none of you think I was trying to put something over on you.  It is really all the people I don't know on here that I wanted my privacy from.

Oh wow I didn't realize there were so many changes. I know Elle and Aurora, but if anyone wants to fill me in just PM me. I am very sorry to anyone that has had to change their name. I hope everything is ok! I also highly doubt that anyone is mad or angry that you have changed your name, if your privacy has been an issue it seems natural to me to change it. I hope all is well!
