The skirt my DH bought me for Christmas is sized to an American 10, and I normally wear a 6-8. It's a wrap skirt, but I don't think I could do a smaller size in it. So you might be okay with one size up. HTH. Cute skirt, BTW!

oooo now i'm a little nervous... i may email the seller cause i'm a little worried about the fit. care to elaborate on the style of your skirt to help me a bit?
also, is it really clingy? i have a fear of clingy skirts b/c i have hips/thighs/junk-n-the-trunk

I'll do even better - I posted it in ST after I got it. Here's the pic:
and yes, it's quite clingy. Knits tend to be very body-conscious. But I like that it hugs my curves.
I'd do as you suggested - e-mail the seller and ask the measurements, and then compare them to skirts you already own. The waist measurement should hopefully be the same as what you already own, so you'll know if it fits in the waist....the hips might be a bit trickier. If you have a pencil skirt, I'd compare hip measurements to that, since the cut of the Missoni is similar (IMO). HTH
