Which dress? Help me choose my V-Day outfit!

the BF is taking me out for dinner at a posh place tomorrow night.  i am trying to decide which dress to wear.  i kind of have an idea of which one i want to wear- but i want to see what you ladies suggest.

please disregard the fact that i have the whitest legs EVER!!!!!!

i also need ideas on accessories as well.

TIA!!!!

*disclaimer on the polka dot dress- i do not think this dress photographs well.  it is a much better dress in person IMO

I love the red on you!

Also, you do not have the whitest legs ever, that title belongs to me :)

I would go with the polka dot dress. For some reason red dresses on V day are just too obvious.

hehe

i was thinking that too.  that dress is reversible and i could always start out with it black and then if there aren't a lot of red dresses out and about- i could switch to red   i have been known to throw people for a loop in that dress by doing that!

also, i have a teeny weeny feeling that he could propose since it isn't valentine's day exactly and he always says he isn't proposing on a holiday... but its just tiny that feeling i have... so probably not.. but still- i'd like to look slammin'

wear the polka dot dress!!  i am partial, because i own it too ! i agree w/ colette about the red on v-day and agree w/ you about saying that dress doesn't photograph well.  i look v. strange in all the pictures when i'm wearing it.

The polka dot - it's adorable and if you do end up getting engaged it will stand out more in your memory!

Me too.  I'd wear it with red shoes (if you have any, if not invest in a pair - you'll love them)

darn.  everyone loves the polka dot dress.

i thought i would want to wear it.  but the more i keep thinking about wearing it the more  i really don't to b/c i wore it to 3 weddings and easter in 2004.  i know its been 2 years and i thought i would be ready to wear it again.  but i'm not.

i think i want to wear my sexy black dress.  i always feel like i am hot to trot in that dress.  and it hasn't been worn in a loooooooooooong time.

what jewelry do you all suggest me wearing?  long dangly earrings?  short choker type black bead necklace?

I think you should definitely wear the black since that's what you want to wear. I think you look great in it.  What about wearing red shoes (a la rar210) with the black? I think I would go with dangling earrings since the neckline of the dress is higher.

Have a wonderful time!

hmmm my red shoes are Charles David pointy toe with an ankle strap... i'm not sure that would work...

I love the polka dot dress!  But definitely wear the black if that's the one you're feeling the most.  I'd skip a necklace with that cowl neckline.  Instead, a bracelet and either diamond studs (a la Audrey Hepburn) or glamorous dangly earrings.
