i am totally in love with this bag and am actually thinking about getting it as a gift to myself if i pass the bar exam in may:



however, it's $1075, and i'm not completely sure it's worth over a grand.  the most i've ever spent was $900 for my venetia, and even then it took me a good two years before i decided to plunk down the money.  at over a grand, i'm wondering if it'd a better investment to buy a chanel purse instead b/c i'm not sure if this purse would be a classic like a chanel.  is this a good buy, or should i save my money for a chanel?

Passing the bar is a big event! You should definitely get yourself a purse.   I don't know if you should save up for the Chanel or not, but I thought I'd point out that the cost of that Marc Jacobs bag is less than a Bar/Bri course, so it's reasonable to get a purse for that price!

i would buy the chanel, you cant ever go wrong with chanel. plus, like you said, it'll be classic and last you years. =) hth!
