Need to pick a veil

Would you girls help me?  I can't try the veil on with my dress before I get it, and I need some opinions.  I need some advice from a fashion/asthetic standpoint.  Basically I want the veil to be flattering and not overwhelming to my height (5'4" in heels) or of my dress, and not to interfere with the beading on the dress, which hits between my natural waist and high hip.  FWIW, I will be wearing long pearl/crystal earrings and my hair will be in some sort of loose updo/half up - the veil will be fastened underneath my hair, at the back of my head.

The dress (pre-hemming and alterations)

I'm shorter than than their manequin (sp?), so the 35" hits me just below the butt, and the 43" hits just above my knee.

Option #1:  Extra fullness, single layer, petite finger tip (35 inches)

Option #3:  Standard fullness, single layer, petite finger tip (35 inches)

Thoughts?  I need to order soon, and I need some reassurance!

EDIT: Okay, I took out the pics of the 42" ones because I think that would just be tooooo long.

elle, your dress is beautiful!  i love it.   i would go with the first one.  and just a suggestion, i don't want to impede on your big day, but with the fabric of your dress, did you consider getting a veil with a trim of the same fabric.  i think it would look so pretty with your dress.

not exactly this style but you get the idea with the trim.

I was originally going to go with no veil at all, actually.  I prefer the plain, since I'd rather not have the veil be the think that stands out and want to downplay it as much as possible.  Also, because I'm short I'm afraid the ribbon edge would cut me in half.

So one vote for #1 - anyone else?  I'm gonna add a poll to the post too.

The first one is the one I am leaning toward too

i have said it before and i will say it again, you are a smart woman elle.   i didn't think of the height thing.  and it would make sense to down play your veil since your dress is so pretty.

I was initally drawn to #1, but after looking at the dress and much deliberation, I feel that the third one is best. Your dress is absolutely stunning and I think that the fuller veil will take attention away from the dress. The third one is simple, but elegant and complements the dress well. Anyways, that's just my opinion!

Try on some veils with trim and without trim... I personally do not think it will cut you in half but will look more finished than one with no ribbon trim that is just my opinion though.

Thank you for pointing this out!  There is something about the third one that is just more elegant than the first, it looks .... I don't know .... more graceful in the drape?

All the embellished veils I've seen make me want to shriek "Toooooo muuuuuch!" - it's just not my style at all.  Plus, a lot of embellishments show up strangely in pictures.  This veil actually has a 1/8" rolled pencil edge, so it's not just cut but it sort of looks that way in the pics.  I'm trying to keep the big picture in my head, ya know?  I don't want everything to be intricately detailed, because then I think it could all compete with each other as well as with me.

Thanks for helping me make my decision .
