I've only seen the show once--the lingerie episode--but they HAVE to be keeping him around purely because he's horrible and makes for great TV, right? That's the only explanation I have...

I'm sad Nick is gone because he was so sweet and cute. His may have been poorly constructed, but at least it wasn't falling apart at the seams. Santino totally lied on stage when he answered all of Kara's questions for the judges-like about the sleeve falling off due to her jumping up and down in celebration. She looked mortified, not like she was in the mood for celebrating. I don't know what the judges were seeing in person, but it so was not figure-flattering.

But that being said, I actually like Santino. He makes for great tv. His impressions of Tim Gunn and Michael Kors are hilariously dead-on.

Overall I was really disappointed in this week. No one did anything good.

I liked Santino's and Kara did say she liked it too. She just clammed up on the runway and cried later because she felt bad for not saying anything. I thought Santinos was the best. Despite my hatred of jumpsuits, I really liked the colors and the stripes on the back.

I thought Kara's was AWFUL. So bad. Those pants with that shirt? The skirt looked like Abercrombie and the pants looked like a beach chair. Not to mention Santino basically designed it for her cause she's an idiot.

I thought Chloe's was bad too. I'm sorry, a vest, shirt and pants? Where could she possibly have gotten such an innovative idea? Was it, oh I don't know, EVERY STORE EVER? I cannot believe she won.

Daniel's wwas totally awful. The 80s power bitch thing was right on. I liked the idea of a cognac croc vest, but I think you have to go with a less slutty dress if you're wearing that much exotic animal already.

I can't believe Nick got kicked off. I thought his look was defintely overly feminine and poorly sewn, but certainly no worse than anyone else's. Although when he was so cocky in the beginning you knew he was gonna go.

I almost cried. WTF? Nick's was NOT that bad. I actually kind of liked it. eta: I'm wondering if maybe he's a little color blind? he said the suit was grey and it looked kind of purple to me. That would def. explain why some of his pieces have been a little "off"

Santino made Kara look like a prostitute in PJs. That think was god-awful and he sooooo should have been out. I think the judges were smoking crack this week. Or that Elle magazine judge and Santino have been hooking up or SOMETHING. No way in hell should he have stayed in.

I didn't think Daniel's was bad either (I loved the vest but agree with Maddie that it needed a more subtle dress) and they said that he would have been out if he didn't have immunity? That means Santino was #3 out of 5? EW.

LOL Yeah, I saw lastnight epi. also, and I just KNEW Santino was out, but no, it was Nick. He even got teary-eyed at the end, and I agree, his wasn't THAT BAD, but Santino's was falling apart, but maybe they ARE keeping him around for entertainment reasons, who knows! LOL

I liked Santinos and Karas the best. Although it was inexcusable that Santinos was falling apart at the sleeve, but I really liked his jumpsuit on Kara- she looked really hot to me. Karas outfit was really Santinos creation, and I am sure that is why I liked it. Usually I am disappointed in what Kara creates, and feel if she had recieved another person to design for, one who would not have collaborated so much with the final product, she would have been out last night. I also think that she will be the one to go next week. I am probably alone in this, but I am consistantly drawn to Santinos creations from week to week, his ego and horrible behavoir aside. What he creates is just my personal preference- more than what the others come up with.

i don't recall kara saying she liked santino's design. i remember santino saying something along the lines of wishing kara would just say that she liked it, but i'll have to go back and re-watch the episode.

none of the outfits really impressed me. i liked the idea behind daniel's vest, didn't like the execution.

as sad as it was, i think it was fair. either santino or nick could've gone. and i guess santino's prior wins did it for him.

also as much as i don't care for santino, i didn't like the whole dynamic where everyone gangs up on him. that's so middle school.

I liked the idea of Santino's jumpsuit, but the execution was horrible. It just didn't fit her, the reason she looked hot in it is becuase she has a hot body. It was also falling apart, I mean some things were glued on but not well. I think she didn't say anything about it on the runway because she was afraid Santino would retort and expose that he basically designed his own outfit and she was just the tailor.

That being said, I am looking forward to Santino's collection when he has more time to finish, with Nick I would expect more fishtails and shirring. I had such high hopes for him in the beginning...His suit was just uninspired, and Santino's was more creative. I doubt Kara will make it to the top 3.

Did anyone catch when Heidi said to Daniel that if he didn't have immunity, he'd be out? I was shocked to hear that! So maybe this wasn't his best challange, but I think that Nick, Santino, and Kara would have to be out before they'd even consider Daniel. Maybe that's just me...

I know! I think she just said it to be dramatic and to maybe shake him up a bit. I just thought his response to her comment was funny.

I think it's going to be Chloe (yay!), Daniel (yay!) and Santino (. . .) showing at fashion week. Did you notice how Daniel is this season's Kara Saun (wins most of the challenges, seems to be the favorite), Chloe is like Jay (minus the funkiness, but always seems to come in 2nd) and Santino is like Wendy (with lots more talent, but is this season's troublemaker/black sheep)?

Heidi seemed really disturbed by what Daniel designed for Chloe. During elimination, she said "we hate what you did to Chloe." I think she couldn't believe he took this cute, young, hip girl and made her look the way she did. I agree with Heidi. The hair was not suiting to her face, and the dress made her look shorter and broader. Also, the hem had threads hanging off it and was crooked.

ITA that what Daniel designed for Chloe was executed badly. I liked the concept, but not the result. I just think that had he not had immunity and he was on the chopping block, it wouldn't be fair. I mean... if one mistake is going to effect (or affect, I never know the difference ) a designer's standing that much, then Santino should have been out after the lingerie challange and Kara should have been out after the inspiration challange, maybe even before. I hope she was just trying to ruffle some feathers to let him know what's up, and I think that he took what she said very well ("It must be my lucky day"). I Daniel.

I love Daniel, too. Based on the entire season, I think Kara should have been out, but Santino's influence saved her. Its just like last year when Wendy Pepper made it to the final three over Austin because Nancy O'Dell liked her dress. It was a shame, but that's the way the cookie crumbled!

I just want to say that I am STILL pissed about this. Why on earth do I get so worked up over a freaking tv show? It just seemed totally unfair. Santino or Kara should have been out before Nick or Dan. I mean, even with Santino basically designing Kara's project, he still sort of resembled a homeless guy who just threw on whatever clothes he could get his hands on. The pieces were fine individually, but kind of disturbed me as an ensemble.

i hated santino's--it wasn't cool or interesting, and it wasn't even finished. he's a total bully and that's what makes me mad about him--you could tell from her expression how much kara hated wearing that thing, but she didn't want to say "no i feel uncomfortable in this" when ninagacia questioned her point-blank about it, because if santino would have gone out, he would have blamed it solely on her selling out and not on the crappiness of his design.

anyway, i agreed with their decisions--chloe deserved to win because hers was made the best and fit the challenge. i liked kara's, too--she did a good job. the only think i disagreed with was letting nick go--i think his outfit was puckery and etc., but it was no worse than santino's and at least it was finished.

i just watched this finally, and kara never said she like the jumpsuit -- she said she felt really uncomforatable in it. i was so mad at her for just standing there, almost pouting, after santino totally saved her ass by helping her with her design at the expense of his own.

i'm really sad nick was out, but i would have been pretty upset if santino got sent home b/c of stupid kara too.

i thougt the jumpsuit (i love saying that) was totally bizarre but kind of cool -- just b/c kara is so lame and it was at least SOMETHING on her.

IMO they all did a pretty bad job. chloe's was well made, at least.
