The bf was supposed to come here(Houston) for spring break, but it turns out that his boss wants him to go to Canada. His boss told the bf that he will pay for my traveling expenses so I can too go. I might take the offer, but I'm not too sure. What do you need to go to Canada? When I go out the country like to Mexico they never ask for any documents or anything. Just in case I do go I want to know what I'll need. Do I need a passport or any other documents? Thanks girls!

I'm not sure what you need exactly but we need our passports to get into the States. You used to be able to make do with picture ID/Drivers lisc and bith cert but they have changed the rules since 9/11.


Where in Canada are you going? We are a big country!

all you used to need was a gov. issued id, but I think they're phasing in a passport requirement.

eta: found it out. you just need an id. passports aren't required until Dec. 31, 2006. You're good to go!

bring a passport! technically you don't need one, but the last thing you want to do is get stuck. i would take mine just to be safe.

If we do go we are going to Toronto. I believe the city is Windsor(sp?). The bf didn't have all the details for me, but he said he will tell me tonight.

I'd bring a passport even though you don't need one yet.  I have family up north and they have heard of people being ok without it and then being hasseled (sp??) for not having one.
