i found a house!!

i have been casually looking at homes/condos/lofts for the past 8 months trying to figure out what i want and i finally found something.  i signed a contract last night.  the lady im buying it from can't move until august so i agreed to wait until then to close because she is giving me such a good deal.  i can't wait to move in!!  this is technically my 3rd house but its my first one on my own (w/o ex husband). 


shopping ban starts now.

zeitgeist4, its a 3 bedroom/2 bath.  it has a 2 car garage and all the upgrades.  its less than a year old but fits right in in a neighborhood of older homes.  its about 10 minutes from downtown atlanta (east point).  its more than i wanted to spend so i'll be looking for a roommate, not to mention i don't need that much space for just me.  the neighborhood is "up and coming" so thats how im able to afford it, im hoping that i'll also build some equity as the neighborhood is fixed up.  its not scary ghetto or anything, but it is a lot of older homes that need some love.  i love it.  this is going to be a long 6 months.

That is so pretty! This will sound dumb, but it reminds me of the house from Old School (in a good way!). Houses definitely do not look like that out here in StuccoLand. Congrats!

That house is ADORABLE and it has so much character... makes me want to come back to Atlanta and get a cute house! It'll be nice living that close in... I'd rather live in an intown, up an coming area than one of the lame, way OTP suburbs any day.
