So weird and random but does anyone know if it's possible to mail a well-wrapped knife in a package or is that something that is regulated and only licensed commercial enterprises can ship? I can't find the section on USPS that explains the rules.

Also, it's totally fine to ship Twinkies abroad right?

ETA: Finally found the USPS rules. They only seem concerned with switchblades. I know I could just ask at the post office but I'd like to mail this today and I don't want to have to package and repackage everything depending on whether I can mail it or not.

Hmmm...anyone know if it's possible to put a knife in regular checked luggage? I guess that could be another option.

I don't know about mailing it, but I do know you aren't suppose to have a knife in luggage when you are at the airport, including small pocket knives.  I would call the post office and ask them about mailing it that way you don't have to redo it.

I'm pretty sure that you can mail it, but you have to tell them at the counter that it's in there?

I don't know about shipping knives, but I do know you can put a knife in your checked luggage.  And they recently changed some of the rules as to what you can put on your carry on, but I forget what they are.  As far as the twinkies go, I don't think you'll have any problems there, they aren't really persishable (like milk, meat, etc).  Just be sure they don't get smooshed

I think knives are okay to ship domestic and to have in your checked luggage.  I don't know about shipping knives abroad though.  I would think it depends on the country you're shipping to.
