I put together our crib today!!

about 85% on my own (with 15% help from hubby)
It was so liberating and exciting.

I just keep thinking about her--it is so weird to think about her since she has already been born waiting for us in an orphanage.
anyway the crib is cute and bigger than I thought.

the house we moved to in chicago has a little room perfect for a nursery, but the room has pink and white striped wallpaper with brown birds on it, white shutters, a cool built in bookcase and cabinets. did i mention, the roman shades match the wallpaper? It is pretty awful, but I was trying to make the best out of the situation and i thought pink and brown crib linens would look cute.

I agree and the colors very unique for a nursey and colors  can be used later when she gets older

It sounds really lovely. You must be so very excited! And believe me, there'll be many more things you'll have to assemble in the future. They make some complicated toys for kids nowadays. Not to mention some of the strollers.


But it is all so totally worth it.

we don't know her exact birthday yet b/c we haven't gotten our referral but we travel in july and she will be b/t 8 and 12 months old/
