i've been in love with these shorts for like forever. pretty much since i saw a pic. of jessica simpson wearing them last summer
the thing is i never bought them b/c i couldn't think of a ton of outfit ideas, and i don't want to look "butch." (sorry couldn't think of a better word.) the best i could come up with was a cami & sandals.
so, does anyone have ideas? i know they're different, but that's what attracts me to them. and i can't justify the price without having more ideas.
alternatively i saw these, which i think might be more versatile, but they're also $50 more. thoughts?
ohhh i almost bought them too. i know they sold out last year (i did see them at Active Endeavors last year and i *think* this year). anyway, i have a pair that has that same cut, but they're fatigue green. i would wear them with...
(those are shoes from my closet, but i think you could modify it. i really love wearing the first pair with them because they really make my legs look super long and muscular. )
i also really liked these when i was bowsing,
i've done white cotton blouses, unbuttoned, with lots of accessories, girly tanks, pretty much anything. personally i like a more girly shirt than a graphic tee with them. just to balance the shorts out.

liz -- i was thinking about a top similar to the vs one last year. i saw them at the end of the summer and thought it would be a great transitional look paired with kitten heel boots.
shopgirl -- definitely agree about the graphic tees, i think i'd look like i was 12. i have the kors birks that you posted, so that is definitely an option. and i really like the last bcbg shoes too.
I really like those shorts. I think as long as you keep everything else feminine then the result would be really cute and different. I would layer sheer tanks of chiffony tops to dress it up, and with a dainty sandal.
