Dressing up this Dress

Hi!

I was wondering if you girls could help me...I'm wearing this dress to a very formal event this spring and was wondering if you could help me dress it up....shoes, jewelry, etc. I'm a pretty casual person normally, so dressing up can be very difficult for me.

jubilee dress

Thanky you!

I'm just poking my head in, and too busy right now to look anything up for you, but I'm surprised no one responded to your post!

First, I'm wondering if the dress is too informal for a "very formal" event - this usually calls for full-length...  can you tell us a little more about what the event is so we can better help you? are you stuck with this dress?  don't get me wrong - love the dress, but it might be wrong for the event.  once we know more we can better share ideas for what would be appropriate.

I agree with detroit.  If it really is "very formal" then the dress, while beautiful, is too informal.  If it's not "very formal" but just a dressy event, then you could dress up the dress with silver strappy sandals and a pretty necklace.  The dress is really feminine and I think a simple strand of pearls would compliment it really well.

Amelia, I have to agree.  If its as formal as you are saying I would have to say you need to look into a floor length gown.  What type of event is this? What month? Where will it be? What time of day?  Did they give you a dress code or are you assuming its formal?
