I shouldn't be shopping, but I was in Bebe of all places and found these two things that I thought were really cute.


This black/white striped top has puffed shoulders and elbow length sleeves. I can't wear 90% of the stock at Bebe because of my curvy figure, but this was so freakin' cute and just what I was looking for. But it's $54 for RAYON!!!!!! Worth it?



As for the shorts...can I pull them off? I haven't worn shorts outside of my apartment and the gym in 5 years. I sized up for a little slouch and so the shorts wouldn't be flush against my thighs. The pair I have on is a 6. Also can anyone find a cheaper alternative? The shorts are probably worth $79, but I'm not paying $79 for cotton "formal shorts". I'll probably keep looking at Forever 21 but I'd apprecaite any other ideas since the checkout lines at all the F21s I go to have the world's longest lines.

I don't have any alternatives but I think those 2 are cute.And I would probably buy the top just cause I'm irrational.

I don't know if it had puffed sleeves or not but I saw a whole lot of black and white stripped shirts at F21 a few weeks ago.  I believe one of them had elbow length sleeves.  Not sure about the shorts...


BTW - both look great on you.

i agree with colette--the shorts are really cute on you.  the top is less flattering, i think.  and you will be able to find something very similar for less.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but one side of the shorts looks shorter than the other! On you they look cute though, and I really like the shirt!

sorry, but yes F21 has a lot of striped black and white tops in a lot of different styles and they also carry shorts like that. i think its worth waiting in line if you really like the style :)

I really like the shirt but I'm not sure if it's worth the $$ for the material it's made of. I'm not a big rayon fan but most things I have from bebe have held up well, so what do I know?


If you have the $$, go for it but if not, maybe it'll go on sale before too long. I saw some similar shirts (although no stripes) in the anthro catalogue last night. They might be better quality. I'll try and find it...


Found it! Now that I look at it, it's not the same and it's the same price but oh well. Here you go anyway:

Those shorts are as hot on the hanger as they are on you!!! Keep them!

However, the shirt- so cute btw- but I don't know if its worth $54. Bebe has some nice things, but the quality is shady sometimes (just like Arden b.)

I do know that F21 has a vast selection of striped tops. You should check out the website before you go into the store (to avoid potential "I found nothing" agrivation)

I really like the shorts! They fit you great. I tried on similar styles at F21 and they didn't fit as well as the bebe ones fit you. I ended up with a slightly longer pair of cuffed shorts from them though. I am curious to how else you would wear it?? would they look weird with leggings??


BTW I am also iffy on the shirt, maybe if it was cotton you know.

The shorts are cute on you. I also like the striped top, but wouldn't pay $54 for it only because I  saw similar looking tops at F21 for a lot less.

I like the shirt but I'm not sure about those shorts.  I think the cuff would bug me to no end.  If you like the shirt I'd pay the $54 on it only because I find striped shirts are a pain to find the right fit on and I'm sure you have the same issues with them as me.

My thoughts:


1. You can totally pull off those shorts, and I like them with the striped T.


2. You could probably find the exact same outfit at Forever 21 for much cheaper.


If anything, I'd keep the shorts. Forever 21 had a really cute short-sleeved b&w striped turtleneck that I would like better with them. HTH!

I'm very anti-shorts.. So I would pass on them..


And I very much like the idea of the shirt.. but I think you could find it cheaper at F21.

For the record, I didn't buy the shorts or the top...I just tried them on in the fitting room.


I love the shorts, but I am not paying $80 for them. Too bad...they look so cute, don't they? I can't spend that much on something I can only wear on Saturday and Sunday, though. I'll watch to see if they go on sale. I'd probably pay $40 for them.


Metallic Pleated Short


I am going to look for a cheaper top, because $54 is really really ridiculous for anything from Bebe. I really love the fact that it has a boatneck and elbow sleeves though. It was also really long and it made my torso look so long.


What makes this WORSE is that I KNOW H&M would have this type of outfit too and I am 500 miles away from the nearest one!!!

they both looked really cute on you, but $80 and $54 is WAY too much for kind of basicy stuff like that -- bebe is so overpriced. i'm sure if you keep looking you can find the same outfit somewhere else, cheaper, or it will go on sale at bebe.
