Where are most of your clothes from?
Permalink Closed

rar210 put this question into my head (earlier), so THANKS!

I shop all over, but most of clothes are from:

  • A'Gaci (I CAN make some of their clothes into work wear! LOL)

  • Fashion Bug

  • Ross

  • Burlington Coat Factory

  • Rainbow (for little under t-shirts)

  • Thrift shops (Savers, Top Drawer Thrift, Junior League of Austin, Goodwill)

  • LOTS of stores between Shreveport and Bossier City, LA

  • Some from Target, etc.

What about you?

As I said, for my 2006 fashion resolution, to try to buy better quality clothes.

I'd say the majority of my clothes are from the following:

  • Express

  • Banana Republic

  • Urban Outfitters

  • Anthro

  • Gap

  • The Limited

  • Nordstrom

And of course I have random pieces from random stores, department stores, Target, boutiques, etc.

  • In the last year my Jeans have been bought exclusively on the internet. My Joes Socialite, Ag gemini, and lucky Brand.

  • Macys- I buy all my bras, underwear, a good portion of my shirts and sweaters.

  • Nordstroms- shoes- almost all my shoes bought in last year have been from here.

  • Banana Republic- martins, some tops, and sweaters

  • Gap- basics

  • Old Navy- basics

  • Target- socks, tights, belts, Jewelry

Most of my clothes are from:

  • AE

  • Express

  • Urban

  • Hollister

  • Nordtrom

with a bunch of pieces thrown in from random places. My wardroe isn't the most impressive, but it's coming along slowly but surely...

Banana Republic, Esprit, Anthro, and Mexx. I'm usually very pleased with the price-quality ratio of them all - I tend to get everything on sale.

I actually buy most of my clothes online. I am a sucker for deals, and can always find great sales and codes for internet boutiques. My favorites are

  •      Ebay (I have scored a marc jacobs vest for $15!)
  •      Neimans and Saks during sales
  •      Shopbop
  •      MaxStudio

In person I dig through outlet-type stores

  •      Nordstrom Rack

  •      Barney's

  •      Bcbg

  •      Loehmann's

About 75% wardrobe breaks down like this. I really don't shop at any one store, per se since I can find anything just about anywhere.

  • French Connection
  • Anthro
  • Urban
  • Bloomies
  • A&F/Ruehl/Hollister
  • H&M
  • Loehmann's

The rest is from boutiques, vintage, or from sample sales.

If there was an H&M in Los Angeles, I think it would by itself constitute maybe 25-30% of my wardrobe.

New York and Company.  Hands down.  More then half.  I just love their stuff and it's quality, not too expensive and fits really well.  I love their accessories too.

Other then that:  Kohls, JCPenny and Old Navy and Carson Pierie Scott

Mine are:

  • Banana Republic
  • Gap
  • JCrew
  • Nordstrom (especially for shoes)
  • Anthropologie

I have a bunch of pieces from some local boutiques and random internet stores, but I'm trying to branch out a bit more because sometimes I feel like a walking Banana Republic ad.

Most of my clothes either come from Saks (sales)or TJ Maxx. I also get many of my items from a couple of local boutiques here in OKC.
