I know nothing about cars but I just wanted to vote for silver.  Shows less dirt, doesn't get as hot, and is cuter than black .

we (the BF and I) aren't fans of Mercedes.  BF is an engineer in the automotive industry so I value his opinions on cars and their reliability and he is not a fan due to quality issues in the past and present.


We test drove the 325i when the new body style debuted.  BF is getting the 330xi but is waiting until the 2007 models are out.  I love love love the ride (and drive- I had one as a loaner while my MINI was getting serviced one day) and the interioir.  The only thing I hated was the cup holders- but I hate those in all BMWs and MINIs. 


My personal preference is the dark slate grey purely because pratically EVERYONE i know has the light silver.  And I the dark chocolate interior with it.  It looks SO rich.

ooh i want your dilemma!!!  i prefer the mercedes, but i love them both. and i would definitely go with silver b/c it hides dirt really well- i have vowed to never buy another black car!

Thanks girls.  Ya'll advice really helped me.  I was so unsure what I was going to do.  But I picked up my new car today at Mercedes Benz.  I posted a stock photo in the shopping section.  Thanks again.

Normally I like Mercedes better, but in this case I like the looks of the BMW better.

And please get it in SILVER, not black. My previous car was black and it showed dirt easily. Now I have a silver one and don't have to wash it as often.
