BCBG on eBay help

I've been in LOVE with this BCBG dress ever since I first saw it but never considered purchasing



And now I see quite a few on eBay that are fairly inexpensive (one in my size is currently $50). My question is, are they fake? That price seems awully low for something that was so much more expensive. Should I care? I would buy one because I love the style, not the label, so I guess is doesn't make a difference (right?). Here's a problem though: the seller I'm looking at has several available, and the same picture is used in every auction. Is that a red flag? This seller's auctions are final sale, so I don't want to take a chance. There are a few others listing this dress, but their prices are higher and I don't want to pay extra if it's unnecessary.


Another question (for shopgirl82 or anyone who has seen this IRL or has it): it looks see-through in some pictures... is it really that bad? No chance it'd be at the outlet, right?

Who are the sellers?  I've bought a few bcbg things on ebay and they were legit (still had the tags and all).  some people get things at the outlets or at marshalls/tjmaxx and that's why they are so low or some power sellers buy a whole bunch of sizes in a hot item that they get stuck with and have to sell at a low price which may be the case. 


I know bex posted about that dress a while back and I don't know if she got it or not.  My only concern is that you can see right through the material based on the picture there.

The seller for the cheaper auctions is wangliujin... 99.4% but on toolhaus.org, has several negative feedbacks due to authenticity issues. I'm not sure if I care...


Ok, I guess I was cray for a few minutes, because when I do the same search now, this is the only seller of the dress I can find.


Oh yeah, and thanks Aurora for mentioning Bex. I knew someone had just mentioned this, and that's why it's been in my head. I just couldn't find it in a search.


So what do you think, ladies... bid on one that's probably fake, or stalk eBay for an authentic?

try checking jtandcompany (seller name) they always have a ton of bcbg for sale.  for $50 I'd wait and stalk ebay if there are authenticity (sp??) issues

I have used jtandcompany and also iissefashion for BCBG items.  My only concern with jtandcompany was that it might not be authentic.  They claim that it is, but have several feedbacks suggesting otherwise.  Once I got my cardiwrap it seems real, but at the same time I'm not entirely sure bc a cardi wrap is just a piece of fabric.  However, iissefashion is definitely authetic.

hmm thanks for the heads up heatherlynn.  I've never used jtandcompany but usually they show tags attached so I always assumed they were authentic.  The seller I used was just selling one piece that she got at dillards with dillards tags attached so I didn't have any questions. I will definetly check out that other seller though because I really like bcbg stuff.

I have that dress and I purchased it on eBay. I bought it through the seller stylelushfashions, and I got it within 2 days of ordering it. It is such a gorgeous dress, and I get compliments everytime I wear it. It's authentic as far as I can tell, since I compared the tags inside the dress with the ones at the BCBG store, and they were the same.

I used to work at BCBG and sometimes the collection stuff would go 70% off and so that could be why it is so low. Also BCBG has a horrible return policy so that could explain some stuff also.

Shopgirl82 would know if this went on sale. HTH!
