Slow Cooker Velveeta Dip
Permalink Closed

My boyfriend wants me to make a dip in the slow cooker w/Velveeta & Salsa, and possibly some other stuff...any ideas?  This will be for the Superbowl party we're having.

I make mine with Velveeta, a can of Rotel (you can choose any spice level you like), 4-6 slices of cooked bacon chopped up, and chopped green onions.  Super easy and I always get compliments.

Okay - I feel dumb, but what is Rotell?  Where would I find it?

Don't feel dumb!
It is rotel tomatoes - it's tomatoes & green chilis mixed. You can find it by the canned tomatoes. I usually do my dip as Velvetta, rotel, & I brown breakfast sausage (like jimmy dean roll sausage) - YUM. And I make mine in the microwave - just melt the cheese, add tomatoes, then the browned sausage - after it is melted then I put it in the crock pot on low to stay hot.

I use Velveeta, a block of mozzarella, a can of cream of chicken soup (or you can use cream of broccoli or mushroom if you want), a can of rotel and one can of green chiles.  You can brown ground beef and mix it in too if you like.  YUM!

MMMMMMM  I love rotel and velveeta!!  We got my dad a slow cooker shaped like a football (he's a coach, plus every year we have a HUGE SB party)!!  Can't wait for Superbowl Sunday!!

OMG - yum. This is seriously my greatest weakness. I can fix it & eat the WHOLE THING - and have cause my DH doesn't eat tomatoes. Seriously, I eat it all - over several days, but still. Thus the weight watchers......
