Who can pull off skinny jeans? (pix inside)

I really like the look of these jeans...i havent tried them on yet. I first wanted to see what body type would compliment these jeans well.


I am 5-5, 120 lbs.  Sorta hippy........do you think these would work for me or do I have to be tall and lanky to pull this look off?


Also, can I wear flip flops with them or is that just not right?

I don't think it's hips that are the problem - it's thighs!  As long as your legs are average length for your height, I think you could probably find a pair that works.

yep, thats me. not the best pix...but its the only one on my work computer that I could find where you can see my entire bod!! Legs and all!

having some hip in skinny jeans are hot so i dont agree that one has to be tall and lanky to wear them.

i honestly can't see you wearing them but that's because i need to see you in them. go to a dept. store and take a picture in the dressing room!

IIRC, pics posted from Kodak gallery/ofoto don't show up here - Shutterfly I know works, and I think there are a couple others that do too ...

YAY!  I can see it now .


I think you could find a pair that works on you - personally I'm seeing you in longer ones that slouch a bit over your shoes, paired with some ever-so-slightly chunky heels ...


I'd probably avoid them with flips - the combo seems to even make girls who are super tall and thin as a rail look a tad dumpy.

now according to the experts, a person of my build SHOULD not wear skinny jeans.


(I'm 5'3'', 145 lbs, ass and hips for days)


BUT  I will be purchasing a FEW pairs very shortly. I will make sure that I don't have muffin top going on- and my crack is not out.


I don't care what they say- I think they are soo cute!

as exsupahero said, it can look hot if you have hips and wear skinny jeans. i was in diesel trying on a pair and this girl was trying on the same ones, but she had a real hourglass shape and they looked sooo good on her.


i think you should get a slightly longer pair. i like the second ones you posted from shopbop.

i'm with elle on this one.  its the thighs you have to worry about with skinny jeans.  i can't do it.  and i think that height might be a little bit of it too.  i don't think it works on women that are very short.

I just bought the express pair and really like them. Especially since they aren't overpriced. I'm kinda hippy and I'm all about flowy tops to cover it up. heh
