iwhen i travel, i hate to check luggage, so i usually use a rolly-bag and carry a larger overnighter-type bag to put my book, shawl, water, etc. in for the flight.  one of the two bags i usually use for this purpose is starting to look really beat-up and should probably be retired. 


so i found this michael kors one over the weekend, and i can get it for about $360.  do you think i should get it, or is this style going to look dated pretty soon? i do really like it and the leather is nice and soft.  it's not big enough to use all by itself for a weekend trip, though.  and $360 seems like a lot to me for a carry-on.  what do you think?

I'd say pass for $360 you can get something alot more classic looking.

wow--overwhelmingly against! i am surprised.  i just figured out this would fit my laptop, too, and is way cuter than most laptop bags.  but i don't take my laptop with me very often anyway.  argh--can't decide.

I travel a lot and I have found that in the fall I use a Herve Chaplier bag, then in the summer I use a zipper top boat tote from Lands End, theirs has a pocket on the outside versus the LL Bean tote.

this is so sad--i have one of each of those.  i really should use what i have and save the $360 for something else, huh.  thanks, girls.  you saved me a big chunk of money.

I voted no just because I think you can find something cheaper or better for $360 for a carry on bag. Is it wrong that I like it as a purse, though?

why don't you get one of those really cute floto bags? they are around $200 and awesome. someone on this board just ordered one, maybe you can wait for the review.

I like the bag, but it seems like the handles are too thin/short for a lot of stuff, or heavy stuff like a laptop.

that's a good idea.  i was just checking them out on ebay.  has anyone received one yet, that they could comment on the quality? it just seems to good to be true that the leather would be really nice at that price point.  the pix look nice, but the leather looks a bit waxy (could just be from the camera).  anyway, anyone who has a floto imports bag, please review!
