fountain pen shopping for a guy- any recs?

the pen is for a guy friend of mine and i need more ideas........ perhaps one that you have given as a gift and gotten a rave review?

i thought it would be easy to pick one- just whichever montblanc i liked the best- but there are lots of inticacies (sp) to consider- and while researching i have found that there are tons of options- some that are actually rated higher than MB..........and now i have a headache

any favs?

When I was accepted to Law School my (then) boyfriend got me a Waterman pen. I think it's beautiful, and would be appropriate for a boy or a girl. And it has a lifetime gurantee, all Waterman pens do.


I highly recomend it!

My dad collects fountain pens so he's rubbed off a little on me. The 4 big brands are Parker, Waterman, Schaeffer, and Mont Blanc. Each brand is well thought off and would make a great gift.
