Speaking of cheesey 80s music....we have a cool old school radio station here & I have heard this song twice lately - I really want to download it. I looked at their playlists, but it's so long after they play it that I can't identify it.


Here is what I wrote down....
4,3,2,1 earth below us..drifting falling...floating weightless..coming home

Does that ring a bell with anyone??? This is the downfall of being older than everyone..including my DH!

I just googled it and I found the song called Major Tom (coming home) by Peter Schilling.  I usually just type in a phrase I know and then "lyrics" and you can usually find the song.  HTH!

It was a semi big hit in alternative clubs in the early 80's.

I love that song too! I always assumed it was inspired by the David Bowie song but then I heard that Schilling denied that there is any connection.
