I am so mad right now. So I had an appt at 2 at a salon in Chicago called Spaccio. I've never been there so I call for the address and she tells me 2406 no I mean 2407 N Halsted. So I take a cab there ($8) and I'm wandering around a 2 block strentch going where the hell is this place so I call them back and she goes oops I meant 2704 N Halsted so I'm not at 2200 block looking for this place and I'm already late so I take another cab ($4) back to the salon at which point it's 2:15. I get there and they say "well because of the time she only has time for one treatment" at which point I politely say "F*#k off" and leave. I'm so mad right now. Then I refuse to pay for anotehr cab back home so I walk home and of course, it starts to rain. I was really looking forward to a nice mani/pedi and I was getting the parifin and everything. It's just that my DH is out of town with his friends and all my girlfriends already had plans so this was the only thing I had to do today which sucks the most. Now it's Saturday 2:45 and I have nothing to do for the rest of the day. This blows. Sorry for the self pity mode.

that is really awful customer service! i am surprised they didn't offer you a complimentary service, or at least a discount on another service to bring you back. totally not your fault you were late!

Wow, that's really shitty.  I'm sorry hon!  Is there any way you can go to a different salon and get the same mani/pedi treatment?  (I always love when someone pisses me off and I go to a competitor--I feel like I'm really sticking it to them then.  Ha!)

I agree, that's really crappy.  They should have offered you something since it was their fault you were late.  I hope you found something to do with the rest of your day.

Ahhhh, that totally sucks, I cannot believe they did not offer you a service at another time for your inconvience. I would call the manager when you are calmer and see if they can do something for you.

that totally stinks.  i will NEVER go to them now!  they have such great reviews, but that's just bs.  i know how it is when your SO is out of town, and you want to just have some pampering (that was me last year at this time).  i think you should check out the beta babes sample sale tomorrow at the intersection of lincoln and racine and shop your frustrations away!  i drove by it today, but didn't want to get stuck in the rain (so i think i'll check it out tomorrow).

Aw sweetie - I'm sorry your afternoon was ruined - your story made me laugh a little, though. How hard is it to know the address of the place where you work? I mean seriously, you cannot be the first person who ever asked her for it, right? I hope the rest of your weekend goes better....

Oh that stinks! I'd have been so mad too. What a moron that girl was. How can you not know the address of where you work?? You should do something fun for yourself tomorrow, like go shopping or get a mani/pedi elsewhere.

Well, I will be going to Chicago on business in April.  I usually start the week with a nice mani/pedi.  I don't know if I'll be near this place, but if so, I will join the boycott on it.  Of course I'm surprised that the girl didn't know the address of her own job and that they said there was only time for one treatment.  However, I'm EXTRA surprised that they just let you leave like that.  If they didn't want to lose a customer, but honestly couldn't accommodate you 15 minutes late, they should have offered one of the treatments for free at another time or added on a free massage.  It's the worst when someone makes a mistake like this and then just basically tells you you are SOL.  I would call the manager and explain the situation.
