Okay, so I was just going through my closet and found this jacket that I've had for awhile. I've only worn it one way: with jeans and a white v-neck shirt. I have no idea how else to wear it without looking too "ladies who lunch" ya know? Here's a pic. What can I do with it? (Please excuse the fact that I'm wearing pajama bottoms with it.
What about wearing something lacy or victorian under it? Or a colorful cami? I always try to wear something a little "sexier" if i'm afraid i'll look like a lady who lunches.

I like all of the ideas that have been posted so far. Something sexier or edgier will keep you from feeling like a lady who lunches. Maybe something like this? The top is still pretty feminine but the neckline and the cut are a bit sexy and the patch pockets and wash on the jeans make the whole outfit more casual. I also like the idea of a low slung belt. You could wear either heels or sneakers, depending on how dressed up you want to be.
Love the idea of wearing a really feminine (maybe lacy) cami under it! That's a cute jacket. Don't you love when you rediscover new ways to wear an older item?
