The commuter paper had an article about metallic stuff today. They had a pic of a cute gold mandarin collar blazer from H&M. For some reason I'm really drawn to it, I think partially because I don't own anything like it. I couldn't find a pic on the H&M website, but here's the online version of the paper:
There's a small color pic of a woman's midsection on the first page. It shows a tiny bit of the blazer. There's a pic of the whole thing, but in black and white, on page 45.
What do you think of it? Do you think that metallic clothes like this is are on their way out? If I got it, I'd want to be able to wear it for more than this spring/summer.
i think it's really cute, and not so trendy that it is going to be "out" soon. that style of jacket is actually pretty classic--they sell them every year at places like pearl river. as long as you mix it with jeans or other non-metallic fabrics, it would be really versatile. i say go for it.
i love the patter on the pic. it is very cute. i don't think that the style will be going out. i think that it will allways be wearable. that style has been coming in and out for decades. i think even if it did go out really soon, it will come back just as fast.
