i like them both. the first are really cool, while the second pair is very practical (in a good non-boring way).

I have bought several pairs of Delman shoes from bluefly, and I found them to be good quality and styling for the price.  I really like both pairs.  I can see both pairs with everything from casual to dressy.  why are you having second thoughts? are you worried they're too "out there?"  I've never been one for fitting in - so my opinion is based on an appreciation for the unusual.

Exactly--regarding the first pair.  You took the words right out of my mouth.  I have a few pr of delmans and i think they're great. they are actually my new favorite brand of shoe because i can generally find a really cool unique design on a heel that's not super high (and thus is actually wearable for me).  now that i have a baby i have to sometimes sacrifice high heels or i just won't wear them (unless i'm going out without her).  anyway, thanks to both of you for your opinions!  i feel better about it now.  would love to hear from others too!

Well...since you asked for other opinions...*s*

I love them both. I especially like the first ones! I also have an appreciation for the unusual, and those really speak to me. The second pair, I agree, is more practical, but still lovely. Delman makes good quality shoes and I think you'll be quite happy with them both.

And just because you've had a baby doesn't mean you have to go all soccer-mommy (not that you would). It's understandable that you won't be wearing stilettos or something while out with your baby, but as long as you can manage something like that wedge, I say don't give up the higher heels if you really love them.

I *love* the first pair!  I like the second pair too, but I adore orange.

my main concern is the light colored suede.  It can look so dingy & dirty after a couple of wears.  Do you have a walking commute?  If so, I would definitely wear something else until you got to the office, and then slip into those.  Also, make sure you get the treated so they are more water & dirt repellant.

I used to work at Banana Republic, which loves to produce pale tender things in suede.  Even after treating, they would start showing signs of wear quickly

OMG, NEVER!  Hehe--I try to be as fashionable as possible but honestly, lugging a baby around in 3 inch stilettos is miserable.  If I can find a cool shoe with a low to medium kitten heel or a comfortable wedge (flats aren't my favorite), I'm in heaven.  Thanks for your opinion!

Thanks luckylilly.  Fairlight-you raise a very interesting point.  I'll definitely have them treated and won't wear them on my commute.  I have some suede BR sandals actually in beige.  I wore them to death and you can definitely tell--they started to get a blue tint from my jeans!

I really like the first pair and think the second pair is a nice twist on a basic.  Good buys!

Me too, me too! I love the color of the orange - not too bright.
