i loved this book so much.  no other book has ever inspired such a violent reaction from me... crying, cursing, screaming, praying, i was doing all that as i read it.

so anyway, i just wanted to share in case anyone was looking for something really wonderful to read.  it even feels weird to post about it under entertainment because i feel like it didn't just entertain me--it enriched my soul.

I haven't read this yet, but a few other people have told me it engendered that same deep, emotional reaction in them. One friend told me she had to stay up all night until she finished it. Now I definitely have added it to my reading list.

Isn't it amazing?  I remember when I was reading it, there were several times where I had to put it down....just too painful.

i couldnt agree more. it was one of those books that put me into a depression after i was finished, only because it was over.

Ooooh, I just finished this last month. I kept putting it off, and I have no idea why. It is easily the best book I have read in years. And it's haunting -- it keeps coming back to me.

I loved the book. It reminds me of the Alchemist in how the language is direct but so poignant. I made my SO read it after me, and he is hooked. It envoked so many emotions and supposedly it was a fiction novel! (Anyone know if there are any autobiographical elements to it?)
