When I saw in entertainment Gwen wearing really cute dresses over jeans, I then found this at Urban.  What do you think of it over jeans for spring/summer?

I think it's really cute but I have never been able to work the dress-over-jeans look.

Also it would be cute with the leggings that everybody is trying out now.

When you wear a dress over jeans... What jeans do you wear?  Do you have to wear super skinny jeans?  Which ones look best?  And what shoes would you wear?  Id like to experiment with this look.... and any other dress examples that would look cute with jeans/leggings?

both, depends on the shoes. if i'm wearing skinny heels then i'll opt for skinny jeans. but if i'm wearing a wedge then i'll do a flare. i personally am not a fan of leggings, but i think they would look cute with flats.

as a general rule of thumb, i usuall pick dresses that are a little too short to wear on their own to pair with jeans. here are a few examples from shopbop

Skinny, Straight Leg or Bootcut I think work best. It all depends on the flare of the dress though. That UO dress would look great with skinny jeans

Nyla did it well in this post
