Anyone Seen This Coach IRL??

I saw it from afar. Not really my style so I didnt look too closely. My initial thought was that it was overwhelming and busy with the Signature print, seams, buckles, braiding. A lot to take in at a glance.

It is a nice alternative to the big Satchel that you originally liked though.

I still really like the tote but my fear it the straps. I need to call my local store (over an hour away) and see of they got the tote it. Have you seen it in person?? I looked back on the paperwork on the patchwork tote and it has like 22 inch straps where the new signature tote says it has 14 inch straps. I need to be able to carry it on my shoulder - any idea if the new tote fits on the shoulder easily??

I think 14 inch straps are what I have on my satchel and it's way too short to wear on my shoulder - there's no way. I have to hold it.

ETA: I just looked at the Tote you are talking about it, and they refer to them as 14" handles, not straps..I think that answers your question.

I think you have to figure that the if the Straps are 14" then the drop will be about 7". 7' drop doesnt seem like very much to me.

This sounds silly.. but if I cant decide on how it will lay I sometimes do a little trick.

I'll cut a piece of string to the length of the strap and tape it to a piece of paper that is the size of the bag. This always gives me a nice little visual paper replica of how the bag will fit on your shoulder, compared to the size of the actual bag.

Cheesy I know and it may take you 5 minutes.. but I swear it helps!

Joceybaby - I think you hit the nail on the head - my satchel straps drop 7"...they are short.

I thought the whole handles/strap thing too but the Signature Satchel calls them handles too and I tried it and it fit easily on my shoulder. I'll just have to try it........

I would call Coach and ask them...the SA's should be able to tell you if it will fit...but I'm telling you those are the exact measurements of the Satchel I got for xmas, and it doesn't fit over my shoulder.

rar120... have you ever seen the "Try It On" feature on the coach website?? It's right under zoom and enlarge image. That tote looks like it fits on the shoulder.

I called one store and the lady told me it would fit on th shoulder no problem - but it did dit right under the arm and with a coat on - it may be a really tight fit. Called another store and the sales lady said it would fit on the shoulder but it would fit closely. I think I'll head there in the next week or so and try it out for myself!
