tomorrow i go to get my hair cut.


i am SUPER DUPER bored with the long hair... what a pain in the ass its turned out to be!  so over long hair (for me anyway!)


i miss my cute short cuts!


i want a fun and funky bob-  anyone seen anything fun?  i was admiring SJP's hair last night on SATC, but her hair has natural wave and is thicker than mine so i know it would come out stupid looking...


suggestions?


HERE I AM....  *disclaimer* my hair in both pics is a little "worn" due to the fact that it was late at night after really long days at work... it looks cuter in the morning!

i get my color done on monday... i had such a great experience with the stylist too.  i tried someone new and he was fabu!

bex, that's so funny! i was watching SATC last night and ended up obsessed with SJP's cute bob haircut--the episode with the pool party at richard wright's house, right? and the one where she goes to SF on the train? 


anyway, i was thinking about how much i'd like to cut my hair like that and came to the same conclusion you did--my hair is is thick, but stick straight, so i don't think it would have the same flipped-up look without a lot of work every morning.

yup same episodes!  how funny is that?  i thought the same thing "waaaayyyy too much work" which is 1/2 of the reason why i am lopping off my hair tomorrow.  long hair is way to much work!



here is her hair straight.  if you go to www.hbo.com/city they have TONS of stills from the episodes.  that is where i find most of the pictures for outfit ideas and hair ideas!  hth!

thanks, bex.  i saw that picture and thought it sort of looked liek the cut was growing out--that looks significantly longer than it did in some of the other episodes.  but could it be that it is just longer because it's flat-ironed out?


i found that hbo trove of pix, too--why did i think they wouldn't have them on hbo.com anymore? i am glad they did.  i am looking at the one of her and berger on the steps of the courthouse when she went for jury duty--i think that's what i'm gonna go for.

well, that picture is from Bitsy's wedding to Nathan Lane's character- which was the day after Samantha's party at Richards.  so my guess is that it is just flat-ironed.  but, i, too, thought it was a bit too long when you compared it to other shots around that time... i don't know though- i don't have gorgeous curly thick hair!

right, but they could have shot it out of sequence.  i think it is too long to be the same length as it is in the scenes at the pool party.


so i walked over to the salon to pick up some shampoo at lunch, and ran into my stylist.  she has a new short haircut, shorter in the back with layers in the front.  guess what inspired her? ha! 


anyway, she agreed that my hair would look totally different than hers with that cut (she has the same curly/texture as SJP) and that i should leave it below my chin, becuse it would accentuate my round cheeks.  i know she's right, but sniff...i wish mine could be like SJP's too!

i pulled nicole ritchie (who hasn't!) to show him along with linda evangelista (i think that is who that is) and the runway shot of the brunette in the black turtleneck... <---- i liked the movement in her hair in the picture...


i'll be posting pics when i get back today!  thanks again!


p.s. i pulled my hair back in a ponytail today and i can tell you that will miss the length of that... but I HATE when my hair is down... always in the way!
