I've Realized Why I Never Drank Enough Water Before...

I have a friend like that. She goes to the bathroom when we get to a restaurant, drinks soda with her meal, goes to the bathroom again before leaving the restaurant. Half an hour later she's doing the "I've gotta go" dance.

It seems to me that if you keep drinking lots of water that your body would adjust a bit. Can a bladder expand over time? I have no scientific data to back that up.

you are not alone. i drink ALOT of water but really have to go about every 30 min! it drives me insaaaane! i am little and my bladder def. matches my size! soooo sick of the walk from my office to the bathroom! :)

I am the same way! And I take so much shit for this - supposedly there's even two rumors going around school that I 1) have an eating disorder and 2) have a drug problem. Once at a bar, the second time I got up to go, the guy I was with made the coke-sniffing gesture and said, "well, have fun in there if you don't want to share..."

I'm the same way with the bathroom, but I also think my body is adjusting. I don't think I'm going as much as I was at first.

I'm the same way. If I drink a lot of water, I'm constantly peeing. And sometimes it's worse than others. Like if I have one sip of water, I have to go. It's annoying but it makes me feel good because I know I'm getting a lot of crap out of my system and I'm losing water weight.

OMG I am the same way! I drink tea throughout the day and it makes me have to go all the time. Our office is set up in such a way that pretty much everyone can tell when you're going out of the office down the hall and it's become embarrassing that everyone can tell how often I have to go.

I drink a ton of water and I think it gets better with time, but I still have to go about once an hour or so.

I usually have to stop drinking 1/2 before a meeting or before I go to the gym. I can start drinking once I get on the treadmill, but if I don't take that little 1/2 break, I'll have to stop, pee, and start again, which I hate doing.

Welcome to my world. I drink tons of water and have to pee constantly. I know where every public restroom is between boston and ny -- rest areas, malls, department stores, grocery stores, which gas stations have clean ones that you dont' have to ask for a key to use ... i should publish a directory.

My friends used to make fun of me, but now one of them has started carrying a water bottle, so she drinks water all day long too. Now at least i have someone to go to the bathroom with when we're out.

I'm glad i'm not the only one too -- i sometimes feel like people think i'm a total freak when i get up and go the the bathroom every 20 minutes.

Oh my god, I thought I was the only one!!!!!! Everytime I start drinking lots of water I always have to make a trip to the restroom. Its especially embarassing at work, because it makes me feel that the employees make think I am stealing. But I'm honest with my co-workers and tell I got's to go. At school its hard, because you have to get up in front of everyone, one trip is fine, but in a matter of minutes I have to go again, but I try to hold in order not to cause attention. Does your body learn to adapt to this?????

i'm not sure if this is a fact or maybe it's just me; but when i started drinking tons of water about 5 or 6 years ago, i used to pee like crazy...

now, i still drink tons of H20 and i'm not running to the bathroom that much. or at least that's what it seems like.

maybe my body got used to it and hopefully yours will too?

omg i go through the same thing everyday... i drink at least 3 liters of water a day, and my coworkers joke with me, because i'm in the bathroom all day long!!
