Loose-Fit Jeans?
Permalink Closed

I've been searching forever for a pair of "loose-fit" jeans that aren't trouser jeans with no luck. I'm starting to think that due to my body type (small waist and larger hips and thighs, I usually wear a 28 or 29 in jeans) that I'm never going to find them. All the brands and styles I try (Seven, Citizens of Humanity, Joe, True Religion) look very fitted on me, which is fine, but I would like one pair of loose-fit or relaxed fit casual jeans just for wearing around the house and on the weekends. I'm getting desperate and I thought you girls might be able to help. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. TIA!

I have a similar problem w/all jeans looking pretty fitted somewhat regardless of style.  I have a pair of Lucky jeans (the style is Sugarland, IIRC) that are nice and relaxed without looking sloppy - I just sized up 1 size from normal.

i would try on guys jeans since they are cut larger in the hips/thighs.  i have seen a couple make-over shows where the women come out looking amazing, and they they say that they're wearing guys jeans....they totally didn't look like guys jeans AT ALL!  it's definitely worth a shot.

Hmmm, I've found that AE's jeans are quite fitted - and because the waists on their jeans are quite generous compared to the thighs, sizing up doesn't work at all.

Is there a new style I haven't seen that's looser in the thighs?

it's been a while since i have shopped in there but their original jeans fit me loosely.  but i think they didn't have any strech in them either and most of their jeans have strech in them now.  so i could be way off. sorry.

No worries .  Down with stretch, I say!

click for larger viewI've tried these on (their wideleg style) and they were decent.  Not really 'relaxed' per se because my booty and thighs pretty much filled the voids, but look a little looser through the lower thigh/knee area than most.  The destroyed wash is on sale right now for $35, too.

Thanks for all the suggestions girls!  Last night I went to both AE and Lucky Jeans.  I found one pair of looser fitting jeans at AE and I was going to get them but then I went to Lucky Jeans and had great success.  I found SEVERAL pair of jeans that I liked, which never happens to me.  I ended up with the boyfriend jean which is suppposedly a "slim" fit but it's still really relaxed and exactly what I was looking for.
