Hey babes - I am on call (which means the professor can ask me about anything in about 40 pages of reading and I have to be prepared) in TWO classes tomorrow morning. (40 pages EACH, but who's counting?) Plus, I have an interview at a firm I really like tomorrow aternoon for summer internships. And my free clinic is meeting with our biggest client tomorrow night. So, plenty to do. But I am sooooooo freaking tired! And, just to make me feel even better about things, yesterday when I commented in class, the professor looked at me for this long minute, then said to about 65 people "Well, does anyone else have something more helpful to add?" I was bright red for like, the next hour and a half. So I definitely need some good thoughts/energy/prayer whatever please! Thank you in advance....
hah..on monday i have this prof who is quite okay with calling people out on thier stupid answers. we are talking about water quality and he asked what the third largest river system was in the us...i said susquehanna (which is a relativily small river in southeastern pa) cause i was tired and he gets all pissy when no one answers so i threw anything out there. ya know what he said? "nice try, but wrong". duh, it's the colorado. now im known as the nice try girl!

Many good thoughts, energy, and support to you Dizzy!! Dont let your proffessors rude comments get you down. He seems to be projecting that he is brilliant at all times- but, we all know that this could not possibly be the case- you have just not been there to witness him in his more "unenlightened moments" . What an intellectual, and egotistical bully! Keep speaking up in class, and dont let him doubt your clear abilities. The job interview, the powerful client, try to think of it as a challenge that has already been met- like it is in the past, and you are now thinking about it- rather than something that is in your future. This imaging of success is vital to produce a winning outcome. You are a winner in our eyes!!!

Thanks guys! The first class was ok, but the second one was just miserable (the one with teh snarky prof) Anyway, I'm taking a break and doing some online research before my interview. I think it will be ok. I'm actually good at interviews. Oh, and ReiRei, seriously, he said "Nice try." Whoa.
Lilyann, thanks for the tip aobut putting the challenge in the past, I like that - and Stephanie, that's what I always say too! Thanks everyone! It was so nice to log on before class and see some positive things to think about!
Oh, man Dizzy, I totally feel you. Once I got called on by a prof, first year, first semester. I walked into class, sat down with all my stuff, the guy next to me asked why I brought my Contracts book (we were in Torts), I said "shit - I grabbed the wrong book" (the all look alike), and almost as soon as I finished saying "book," the prof said, "Ms. blubirde." OMG! I was so terrified. I had to work on memory alone (I always briefed the cases in the book at that point). I was a babbling idiot, I have to tell you.
After class I walked up to the prof to explain and said "I hope you don't think I'm stupid, I just brought the wrong book to class accidentally, so I had to work off memory instead of my notes." He said very slowly as he walked away from me, "I don't think you're stupid, per se..." Eek!! How horrible!
Good luck on your interview tomorrow. I'm sure they'll like you as much as you like them.

"Per se" oh that's nice. law school is fun. so much fun.
oh, dizzy, this is reminding me of nursing school when my instructor would drill me in clinicals. i had this one instructor who would drill me in the patients room! (most waited to do it in the hallway). if i messed up, the patient would know, and then when i went back in the room to do a dressing change or something, they had NO confidence in me! gosh i don't miss being in school AT ALL! -sorry for my little rant.
