would i look stupid if i wear a basic white turtleneck under my coat with jeans?  i like the look of white by my face, and i sometimes hate the bulkiness of my cream turtleneck sweater, so is this ok?  i would probably just wear it running around, but it i had to take off my coat would it be so bad?  i think i'm just having flashbacks of wearing them in grammar school and high school with plaid skirts.

I'd buy a more fitted white one than that.  I'm not much on those loose ones.

This one's only $19 from VS

I don't think there is a problem with it.  If worn with classic pieces it looks very clean and nice.  As long as you don't wear it like we did in grammar school like in a color such as teal with tappered stonewashed jeans and a matching scrunchie and keds, I think it's ok.  lol

I agree w/needsfashionadvice - I would get a more fitted one.  I don't like those loose, baggy looking ones..reminds me too much of grade school.

yeah, i think i knew the answer to the question.  i am wearing stretchy gym clothes right now, and later i will be wearing baggy scrubs, so yeah, i guess i'm getting too relaxed with my clothing.  so that being said, i think i found perfection...

  (better pic)

I LOVE it!!!  I may get one myself!!  It's so funny when I saw your post, whenever I see women out and about with a nice long coat and jeans and a white top like that I think, oh gosh, they look so put together.  I guess it's just classic pieces that you can never go wrong with, and white just looks so clean.

I think the J. Crew on posted is perfection.

In the mid 90s, my mom made me wear loose turtlenecks with my slim cut Levis and brightly colored socks...I used to think I was the hotness.
