Shoe dilemna - still need your help

I love shoes and love pointy shoes even more.  However my left foot has been having this weird hurting feeling (haven't been brave enough to go to the doc cuz I'm sure they'll say 'lose the pointy shoes').  I'm on my feet a fair amount, so I thought I'd get a pair of comfy shoes to wear to work. Here's what I bought (Dansko) - two tone brown with a crockish/snakeskin accent.

Now I can't get myself to take them out of the box.  Are they just ugly - any other ideas?  Or am I making too big a deal out of the whole sensible shoe thing?  I just don't want to look like an old lady!

Thanks for listening and any ideas.

I don't think it's the pointy toes that are making your feet hurt. It must be just the comfort factor of the individual shoes, or maybe you are buying them too small. Like Stacy and Clinton say, pointy toes don't equal pain.

I would try getting shoes from Naturalizer. They're pretty comfortable, and you can get better-looking ones than the Dansko ones you bought.

I totally relate! Lately I have been trying to wear more comfy shoes, for similar reasons.

That being said, I think you can do better than those. I don't like that heel.

I don't know how you feel about clogs, but I love the Sanita "Lisa" (hee hee); it's very comfy - more so than Dansko, for me, and the quality is awesome. I have these in oxblood.

Or maybe something with a square toe?

I think these are cute-ish:

These are similar to what you got:

I like loafers for work when my feet need a break.

i really can't wear pointy toes, either. usually i have to wear round or semi-round toe. (i have a wide toe box) it seems even if i try to get pointy toes in a size larger, then they are too big...either way, i always go back to the rounder toe.

these are cute, and come in black and coffee bean:

i love naturalizer, easy spirit and aerosoles for comfort shoes. also golc makes really comfortable shoes, but most are too casual for a dressy office.

Thanks for all your great idea.  I really didn't know where to start. Basically the Dansko's are going back.... I was too hasty.  Funny how its hard to step out of your box & pick something practical!

Here are a couple of other's I've found & I'd value your opinions.

Børn ‘Barbe’ Sandal Born, which I believe are comfy & I think these are pretty cute, or

Söfft 'Beale' Mary JaneSofft; not sure about the heel (could be old ladyish or could be funky; not sure!)

Also I do like the Ecco ones that Lisa posted.

Help me out ladies!
