I knew that the actor who plays Tom Zerik used to play Apollo, but I didn't know he was against the remake.  I find it amusing that a lot of people are upset that the new series made Starbuck a woman.   Apparently Baltar was the bad guy in the old series, too.  I like the way they're using Balter in this series.  We have no idea what he's going to do next, so we don't know if he's good or bad.

Yeah. Apparently the old show was pretty awful--really campy. And Katee Sackhoff as Starbuck ABSOLUTELY ROCKS. She's the best thing about the show. ... [goes off to change avatar to Starbuck]


ETA: Bastet, I agree with you about Baltar too. He's such an interesting character because he is completely amoral--he's not good, he's not evil, he acts purely in the interest of self-preservation.

Well I have to like her...her character has the same first name as me.


I ordered the first season on Amazon...but you guys have me so excited I don't know if I can wait for V-Day to give it to my husband...we might have to celebrate early so we can start watching!
