Storing Bagels...

So i bought some bagels from panera today... and everytime i buy them, they are nice and soft and yummy the first day, but after that they are tough and hard, whats the best way of storing them, other than freezing?

All I can say is to store them in plastic and not paper. I personally don't think bagels are that great after a day(or even a few hours).
