Mario Badescu Mask
Permalink Closed

Just wanted to say that I absolutely LOVE this mask.  I got a sample of it in New York and loved it after one use so I bought it.  After a week of using 2-3 times I love it even more.  I didn't even think it would actually do anything but the next day my skin looks more clear, feels softer, and my acne scars and redness/blotchiness are almost gone.

I have been getting bad hormonal acne for awhile now and have tried a lot but switching to Mario Badescu and using this mask especially has helped so much.  The directions recommend switching off with the Drying mask so I think I'm going to try that, too.

Just an FYI for those of you who suffer from acne and need something that actually does what it says it will do and more.

I use retin A regularly... I dont have acne, just use it as a preventitive measure... But i still get very very very dry skin... and red blotchiness... Do you think this mask might be able to help me?  I need something that just wont fix it for the time being, but something that will make my skin not dry anymore!

I really do think it would help you.  If I'm having a bad skin day and I use it at night (for 20 min...I might try sleeping with it the whole night soon) my skin is way more calm and it definitely feels less dry.  Maybe you can find somewhere that carries it so you can try a sample to see if it would help you.  If not, it is only $20 and was well worth it for me.  Though I can see myself going through it fast.

Sorry for the questions.... but one other thing, I use the aveda moisture intense mask right now, and my skin feels great when the mask is on, and looks amazing! but as soon as i wash the mask off my face goes back to being dry, probably more dry than it was to begin with... Do you notice that with this mask?  It doesnt sound like it does that.

I don't notice that with the mask.  But I'm not using Retina...maybe it's just too harsh for your skin.  I used to use it and hated the way it dried and peeled my skin.  So I asked my doctor for something like it that wasn't going to do that.  He prescribed me "Avita" which I think was a milder, lower dose of Retin A (I could be wrong it was awhile ago).  Anyhow the Avita was great stuff.  My sister still uses it and it worked great for both of us.  He gave us the Avita to use at night and a different topical thing to put on during the day.  I found that sometimes my face would feel dry with the Avita but not very often and as long as I was using a good moisturizer it made my skin look very clear and still moisturized.  Maybe you could run that by your dermatologist?
