Spinning Class
Permalink Closed

So i just took my first spinning class today.... I really enjoyed it and felt like it was a good workout.... Very intense... Just curious if anyone else has taken these classes on a regular basis and what kind of results you had as far as weight loss and muscle tone etc... I feel like it really really works your quads alot and I dont want to have large thighs!   But it does work the rest of your body as well... Just think it concentrates more on legs, obviously.  So like to hear what you girls think?

It's cardio, like running but lower impact (less torturous on the knees). I've been going on and off to classes for the past 6 weeks and I notice that my thighs are actually a bit smaller...they're more compact and muscular in a good way. I don't do weigh-ins though, so I can't help you there.

I take spin classes once or twice a week.  I am a believer in exercise variety, so I am always switching it up.  I think spin is a great cardio workout and I don't think it will make your legs bigger.  Don't be afraid to use a lot of resistence, because then it will help work your hamstrings and working the opposing muscle helps any bulking tendencies.  You can also concentrate on pulling during the class not just pushing and that will help target the back of your legs.  I gaurantee your legs won't get bigger, have fun!!
