not a word was spoken...

this past sunday, i spent the afternoon taking down our holiday decorations, boxing them up and placing them next to the door to be taken to our storage unit.  I asked BF to take them this week while I was gone.

I left monday and returned this evening... I walked into our house and FLIPPED MY LID... the boxes and tree were exactly where i put them on sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WHAT IS SOOOOO FREAKING EXCITING ABOUT YOUR FREAKING LEATHER CHAIR AND TELEVISION THAT YOU CAN'T SPEND 15 MINUTES TAKING OUR HOLIDAY DECORATIONS TO THE STORAGE UNIT.

so I drug them out to our front porch, leaving a small space to get to the door.  BF comes home from work.  Doesn't say a word.  I don't say anything.  He asked if i was mad at him and i just shrugged my shoulders.

He just left to take the stuff to the storage unit.

I am so glad that i didn't scream at him... ugh but i needed to get it out somehow!!!  ST is where i came!

thanks for "listening"

I HATE stuff like that .  But I do it just as often as FH does, so I guess we both deserve each other .

Good for you for not creating a huge deal about it - it sounds like he got the point without you even having to say anything.

Bex you crack me up, sounds like my hubby and things around here. I mean if I dont do it half of the time it wont get done --I know this is bad but once I put the trash on the porch to see how long it will sit there before it is taken out, luckly we dont have stray dogs or cats because it stayed out there two days- two freakin days Oh and it did not have anything stinky in there just paper and junk.

glad to know i am not alone...

i usually do stuff around the house... my "relationship" problem is listening... i ask BF a question and then ask him the same question again 15 minutes later b/c i didn't really pay attention when he answered me the first time.

at least i know it do it, right?

I'm so glad you posted.  I have been wanting to ask you how things were going.  From your posts on general chat it seems like things are going great (with the exception of him being male and not doing a simple thing you ask him to do!!!  Argh I hate that).  I know you posted before and were wondering what to do bc you wanted to move and he didn't seem to want to.  So how is all that going?

thanks for asking/wondering HeatherLynn.  I still struggle with my wants/dreams vs. real life.  We took a walk together late Decemeber and talked about what we wanted to accomplish in the next 5 years or so before settling down to have a family.  It seemed that we finally meshed and he finally opened up a bit more about what he wanted.  We are/were waiting to see if some things happened.  Some have (my raise and expansion of my territory) and some haven't (he has a review in Feb. and should be up for a BIG BIG raise).  We have a lot of "what ifs" happening this year and are going to take them in stride and decide what the next step is as they come to us.

Overall, I know I struggled with the fact that I wanted to move, etc.  But really, whats living in a city with no one to come home too compared to living in a small town and having someone at home that loves you and is ultimately my best friend?  I really have never had a relationship like i have had with him before (friends before lovers- that sort of thing)... so i feel blessed in that way.

Awww that is so cute!!  I'm glad that you guys finally talked and know what you want.  I definitely think that waiting to see what happens is the best idea.  Thanks for the update!
