Here is a breakdown of what jj sent me. I'm going next week - yippie!!  Also, i've attached a list from a local ski shop

I would recommend (from inner-most layer to outer):

- long underwear top/bottom. I HIGHLY recommend patagonia capilene because it keeps you dry and toasty. You don't want to get overheated from skiing, then cold on the chairlift from being sweaty.
- liner socks - also very important to keep you dry and toasty

- thin wool socks

- turtleneck

- a substantial long sleeve fleece (something like old navy is worthless because it's too thin)

- your jacket, which also has a fleece lining

- a hat! never skip the hat! gloves and fleecy neck gaiter

If you get warm, take off your hat for a few minutes. You'll cool down really fast.

I wear North Face STH pants. I like them because they fitted. I'm not a big fan of snowboarder style baggy pants.
