White and pale/pastel/beige.

I usually only wear darks and colors.

I refuse to wear yellow or orange.  I think they look horrible on me, but actually it stems back to my childhood, when I read that Asians should stay away from yellow.  Now, I don't believe this, and many Asians do look great on yellow, but I am scarred for life over it.

lilyann wrote I am thinking of this question because I just put some yellow tops together for our sweet KayKay

kaykay blushing now thanks, well you know I never thought of this before  but as much as I love red Iam not sure it works for me I wear it once in a while. I think red skirts and shoes do it better for me. Oh and Iam not sure if yellow looks good on me but I love it  and I will wear anyway

Go to Anthropologie in July. Chances are I'll look icky in 90% of the offerings. More specifically...

  • Pale yellow (Golden yellow and mustard yellow works, but I'm wary of yellow for the same reason jacL is.)

  • Lavender

  • Mint green

  • Aqua

  • Pale sky blue (I can wear a saturated deep sky blue, but it's not my best color)

  • White...I feel like it washes me out or something. I much prefer and am obsessed with shades of cream and ivory

It's a real damn shame, becuase I love all these colors and would be able to wear them if my complexion was lighter.

On a side note, I LOVE a nice bright burnt orange...like the Texas longhorn color but a bit sunnier and brighter. I love it more because no one else seems to wear it.

Yellow, orange...basically any citrus colors look terrible on me.  Rust and avocado also don't look good on me.  Yuck.  Off white, beige, oatmeal colors don't really do much for me either.

Basically I go for neutrals and jewel tones.  Reds, emerald, purple, teal, navy, and pink look good on me.  Anything out of that rich jewel tone color pallette just looks awful.

lots of colors don't work for my skin tone, so if that's the case i just make sure that i buy bottoms in those colors instead of tops!

i'm a "fall" so i look sickly in most pastels - especially pink and very light blue. i also look bad in like a safety cone orange, but i can do peach or rust or more muted orange tones, so i will wear those.

i look *awful* in any kind of heathered gray color. so i just stick with pants and skirts when i wear grey.

i look really washed out in anything tan, beige, cream, nude, pale golds...basically anything that is too close to my own skin color.

wow , i need to go through my closet because I think i have the same coloring as a lot of you & i don't shy away from much. I know tan /camel isn't my best color, but I still like it sometimes - the same way I like to do my makeup very nude. Although neither of these things happens very much. And I get tons of compliments if i wear different shades of orange or even a blue that I don't particularly like on me.

I have a hard time with yellows and certain greens (they make me look sallow).....which is sad, because they're so pretty!  I just buy accesories in that color instead.

I depends on whether or not I have a tan.  In the summer, I look good in orange.  In the winter, no thanks, but I can do rust.  Same goes for yellow. It only works with a tan.

Other than that, I would have to say that neutrals near my face. Anything like beige or khaki. But I can wear grey. And most greens, unless it's a jewel tone, are pretty hideous on me.

any variation of maroon, salmon, and recently I have found that neutral beiges don't look good on me at all.  it's funny how being tan makes a difference.  I never over tanned at salons, but now I never tan and I just can't wear stuff that used to look good on me.

My favorites are blues, greens, black, white, gray, pinks, deep purples.
