HI Ladies- I hope someone can help- I'm so irritated right now- arrgh!


I had a $%^$& red sharpie marker in my brand new Anna Corinna purse and the cap apparantly came off and leaked through the lining into the leather!!! I tried cleaning it as best I could, but I"m afraid it's going to leave a permanent stain- does anyone know anything about cleaning leather? Should I take it to a leather cleaners? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Oh dear!  I would check with a cobbler/shoe repair person - since they must see stained leather all the time.  Or, if your dry cleaner does leather, they might be able to recommend what you should use, or whether they can clean it themselves?  I hope it works out for you!

oh no! id be cursing up a storm if i was you! honestly, i think the only option you have is take it to a professional person, whether that be cobbler or dry cleaner. because it's leather i don't think its anything you can do. good luck!

Thanks guys- I'm going to the shoe repair place tomorrow...


and Relrel- cursing up a storm is an understatement!!! It's my dumb luck to have something like this happen- I haven't even had the stupid bag for a month and now there's two red blotches on the bottom of it...if it were black it wouldn't be so bad, but it's tan colored...AAARGGH


so the moral of the story is: never carry sharpie markers in your purse!!!
