pay the extra $3 or...

i won a cute missoni top on ebay for possibly less than i should have.  i asked the seller before the auction ended how much shipping was in the us and she told me $5.  well i asked for an invoice today, and she sent it to me and had $8 shipping on it.  should i just shut up and pay the extra $3 because thats still a great price, or argue because of the principal of it.  she's probably pissed the shirt didn't sell for more, and i dont want to anger her.  she's fairly new to ebay but not super new (under 100 feedbacks).  i am leaning towards just paying it, because i want the damn shirt!  what would YOU do?

Just pay the extra $3, it isn't worth the extra trouble and possible leaving you bad feedback.

Just pay it, $3 is not worth the potential problems

I'm a beoytch.. so I would probably complain..

But the logical side of me, says to just pay it. You are still getting a great deal and its only $3.

I dont think it is out of line at all to ask for an explaination for the three dollars- when you list a price, at the end of bidding -you should be bound by the price listed. We are obligated to pay amount , they should be obligated to contract for amount stated. I would very politely ask for an explaination, it doesnt matter what kind of deal you recieved- but thats just me.

I agree, you could just ask. If she says no, just pay it, but if you don't ask the answer is definately no. And $3 is a Starbucks coffee. Well, almost

I also think you should ask, she could have made a mistake and forgot to adjust the shipping to $5.

i just paid it.  believe me, i can be cheap and in most cases would have asked, but i just sensed that it would be best to pay it and not cause problems or delays (took her two days at least to send first invoice)
