Lol- If you really hate it, start washing with clarifying shampoo. It should take some of the color out.

However, I am sure it looks great on you! Post some pics!!

Aww...that sucks.  Definitely post some pics and maybe we'll be able to come up with something that will work.  By the way, how permanent is the dye you used?

It'll be ok sweetie - maybe it just looks different to you right now and as you get used to it you will like it better? I've been this way - when I first dyed my hair darker I didn't like it until people started complimenting me...

so apparently my camera only had enough juice left for one photo and my camera phone is making it too dark to see, but you can sort of get the idea from this pic.

I'd give it a couple of days to fade and settle a bit - it should lighten up a bit and not feel so severe after that.  You can also help the process along by using clarifying shampoo, or dishwashing liquid a couple times in a row in the shower to lift some of the color.

Is it permanent?

well, i can't see your face to see how it looks, but the color looks great from what i can tell!  it's probably what the other girls said - that you're not used to it.

p.s. - adorable outfit!  where's that skirt from?

is it just the darkness of it you don't like? ive got pretty bland brown hair too, except for in the summer when i get nice highlights, so i use the john frieda brunettes shampoo/conditioner and that seems to help with the color/shininess. give it a couple of days and then see how you feel.

on a sidenote...i once tried to dye my hair a light shade of brown/dark shade of blonde and was too scared to go really drastic and ended up dying it the exact shade it already was. oops.

From what I can tell, it looks good--it looks like a nice rich color.  And from your myspace photos, I can totally see you as a brunette.  What aren't you liking about it?  Is it too much of one color?  Too heavy feeling?  Or is it just the fact that it's a change?

I like it.

Is there enough red undertones in it?  Going from blonde to brunette can look ashy if there isn't enough red....

It's hard to tell, but it seems to go with your skin tone pretty well and I like the color. Have you tried playing with makeup colors? If you're not liking it down, maybe you're feeling washed out with the lighter makeup colors from when your hair was lighter?

when I dyed my hair brown I hated it at first too. It was very "red" at the beginning, but my hairdresser said that was necessary b/c it would fade, and without the red, it would look ashy after it faded. And anyway, mine faded to a dark blond color about 2 months later, so it will come out eventually. But from what I can see, it looks great!

I'm starting to get used to it and I think I like it. It was just a huge change from my normal super light blonde... I actually think the brown goes better with my skintone
